The shaman provided some food and water for them and explained that he could see the curse within them. He was physically blind but saw the metaphysical world, just as they would eventually learn too. He explained and educated them on the world of demons, Oni, curses, the metaphysical planes, and the other realms and then explained that it may be possible to cure them but he wasn't the one who would know how. From him, they had learned that by killing demons they would have a much easier time rejecting the temptations and evils the curse did put on them, which for was a feeling of extreme loneliness and the need for a loving hug, but if she killed a demon then she would be filled with a sense of balance and oneness and she wouldn't feel so scared and in need of someone holding her. If she didn't kill a demon every 20 minutes then she would feel extremely alone and fall into despair but killing a demon or being hugged would stave off the effects of the curse, however she only knew that being hugged by her sister would help, she wasn't aware she could be hugged by anyone that she loved.
